Out at Scotty and Sara's

All of the photos I selected did not post.  There were a lot however.

They are repiring old out buildings and tearing down rotted corrals.

Betty measured and cut a lot of tin.  It's hard work.

After painting my bathroom I drove out.  I actually got to help!

Some who shall remain nameless wouldn't always come when called!

These had to go...

This was after we put up the tin.

Love the look on Sara's face..she's thinking.."Really?"

Brent worked himself to the bone on this roof.

Scotty has a burn pile you wouldn't believe.

Sara's horses have wonderful pens.

Brent grinding off dangerous nails.

The guys head to hunting camp

Adjusting the straps on the food panniers.

They're ready...I asked for a photo shoot.

They're headed up the trail.  Vivie was enjoying the rocks.

Today.

Bob fitted packsaddles to the horses.  Toots "gets" to be a packhorse for their hunting trip.  So does Snip..

Poor photo, but its what there is of they packing and weighing panniers.

David's mural.  It's coming along!

Done Haying

It's not a good thing when you see Michael on top of the load on the stacker.  Apparently the 2nd table got stuck..he did get it loose.

After I finished baling, Michael and Bob cleaned out the baler, for it's winter storage.

I thought the rake looked neat like this.
We finished a little after six last night.  Then we went to the Stockman's for a drink and dinner.  What a treat.  Then we went to a soccer game.  Home and crashed!
Today we went after the horses.  Some need new shoes for Bob, Michael and Palmer's hunting trip the end of the week.
I'm washing clothes and later today Betty is going to help me put a new zipper in Bob's sleeping bag.  That's a long over due job.

David's mural last night.  They had a fund raiser yesterday that let people pay $10.00 to put a squiggle there.
Meanwhile..we were in the field haying.  The end is getting closer but it's about four good haying days off.

Yesterday

This was David's mural last night after dinner at the Stockman's.  It's definately changing. Looking good.

We were up a little after four yesterday morning..A hearty breakfast, catching our horses by moon light...yeah..I could actually see Toots in the corral..and meeting Price's at 6:00 a.m. at their turnoff on 191.  (It's the turn off that goes to the Daniel cemetery too!)  It's a long drive up to their sections on Little Cottonwood and Beacher Creek.  It was so gorgeous up there.  If you enlarge the picture of Bob, you'll see the huge moon too.

A few of the cattle we had to gather coming over the ridge.  The gather was easy..it just takes two riders on either side of the creek..The creek goes right down through the middle of their place, and it's really steep on either side.  There is some heavy timber that is impossible to ride in.  We saw lots of elk tracks, but no elk.  Probably saw a hundred antelope though.  We spent the afternoon in the hay field.  It was a long day..but a good one.  Dinner at the Stockmans...then I crashed.

David's mural update

It's hard to catch this mural without someone/thing in the way.  But you get the idea.

For Duene

We flew this morning and I liked this of Fremont Peak.

David has his mural outlined now.  It looks better than this photo shows.
We're headed to the hay field.  Michael had a rain yesterday that included hail, which we did not get.

The mural and haying...

This is David's mural in progress.  The light spots top left are from the sun coming up through the trees.

Something happened to the clutch on the bale wagon.  Supposed to be working this morning.  We'll see.  I'm actually amazed it's gone this long.
