Cowboying again...

Much easier day today!  I worked at Sara's in the a.m. and after lunch we went to Price's.  Bob had brought the mares in from Jerry's.  This shot is Albert Sommers, Charles Price and Bob.

Bob is in the lead and a guy called Red who works for Albert.

Cattle Drive with the Prices

The one time the cattle got strung out...it was too hot to move cows, all they wanted to do was eat!

There are a few perks besides being horseback with good friends on a gorgeous day!

Bob on the back side of the bunch...

We had quite a run back in Sommer's lane...this is just a few of the scoundrels.

Sommer's bridge...
We left Price's at 5:30 a.m. and got here about twelve thirty.  Then we were another hour sorting and paring.  I always guard the gate onto the Mesa, and count them as they go through it.  I was dead meat when we went to the house to eat.  DeeAnn and Dawn had brought the meal (a meal I look forward to all year) over from their place and served us in Jonita's house.  When we got home I dropped on the couch and slept..I didn't hear Bob get up to take the horses back to the pasture or go irrigate or anything.

Mother's Day

The morning began with breakfast at the Stockman's, courtesy of Scott.  Bob, who had started irrigating and checking his ditch at 5:30 a.m, had already eaten.  He elected to stay home and shoe a horse.  Sara was off barrel racing, so it was a small group...but awfully nice.

Bob and I drove to Cheeney's and we headed out from there.  Love this shot of Kiz, Betty and Brent.  I took it into the light so it doesn't show up well.

Lunch after getting flag stones for Betty's patio.

Kiz is waiting for her treats.

Bob found this piece of concrete near a dam that had washed out many years ago.  We had trouble reading it, but finally after wetting it down decided it said:

It wasn't a good job too

Dinner at Boulder...
