Gettin' Sally in the truck!

She's walking with a walker...has exercises to do...and my problem is keeping her from overdoing! There are cotton fields around...it's been harvested, and this much is left. I understand more equipment comes along and picks it cleaner..then it's burned. I broke off a couple branches to take home.

Trip to Arizona

I just copied and pasted my journal for Friday's post. It could be written up better. This is the guy with the golf cart fixing my battery cable. He didn't have the right parts, and he said, "Take this to your son-in-law when you get home and get it done right". The Menlove guy who knows Brent and Scott laughed about the mechanic in a golf cart...but he sure got me on the road! October 17th. Friday. Got up at five and left about six. Lovely morning...gased up at Evenstan for $3.15. When I turned off toward Park City, there was a gorgeous balloon flying overhead. The leaves were pretty much gone. Gased up in Beaver for $3.60. Then the car wouldn’t start. No battery. A guy who looked as if he worked at the station, walked by, and I asked him if he could help me start the car. He was certain I didn’t have it in park, but he soon determined there was nooo battery. We opened the hood, and the battery cable was in two pieces. He said "How did you get here?" He did a little rumaging around, brought a golf cart back with tools and jury rigged me up a battery cable. He would not charge me...how cool is that. I finally made him accept a twenty. It was certainly worth all of that to me! Meanwhile a guy drove up and recognized the 23 licence plate. He hill climbs with Brent and Scott. Menlove! There was slow construction south of Provo and more in Las Vegas. Also a bad crash on 93/95 south that held me up for over an hour. That was frustrating, as I wanted to drive into Sally’s in the light. Not going to happen. I turned on a wrong road, called Pete, and he directed me to a gas station, where he met me. That worked. We drove up and saw Sally..then ate in Bull Head City. A Bear Track place. Very good. The gas here is $2.68. I should mention that Sally is walking...albeit very carefully. She got up and I helped her back to bed. I can see that a week could make a great deal of difference. She comes home today.

Pain in AZ

I talked to Sally about seven and she is hurting. They had a big meal in front of her...she was eating the ice cream. Pete said she's doing fine. She thanks everyone who asks about her.

I'm headed down early in the morning...will probably post something tomorrow night.

Bob and the Cat will hold down the fort here. The Cat came in very lame and sick yesterday...he's o.k. today...but still limping. We're clueless where he got his foot that he shouldn't have. We sort of think he was just sick from pain. He was really hurting. He's playing today.

I'm negligent in wishing Charm's mom the best. She's been through a tough go with surgery too. Love to you both, Charm!

Those of you who get the Pinedale Roundup, those are our horses in the snow on page 13 in their snow photos. Toots and Nube headed across the road to water!!!

Had to put some snow pictures on here!!!

The Cat is a total wuss....he wants out and then right back in. He races through the house to see what mischief he can get into. He's holding down Bob's chair now. Bob is plowing at the airport. The little table and flower pot show the snow fall best, because the ground was so warm a lot melted.
My fall display looks sort of sad.
I took this the other evening when the smoke from fires around Big Piney had the sunset gorgeous.
Our lone tree with it's fall color.
I just checked out Duene's blog and this was on there. I laughed sooo hard. It's titled "what happens when pumpkins drink!"
