Saturday

Bob and Steege are laying pipe in the Stipa ditch where it keeps washing out.  It's a big project.  I took the 4 wheeler over there and took photos.  They have to spread a layer of sand under it, set it on grade with the transit, and cover it.  Then getting the next one attached is no easy matter.

Meanwhile, today Jane and Scott are here.  I had breakfast with them at Betty and Brent's where Brent is king of the waffle makers.  Then he put new tires on my car.  I feel so good about that.  I've not liked the way my tires looked all summer.  Thank you Brent!

Just visited with Hank Ruland as he got in from his rounds, and he told me about the fire up at the Boulder Lake Estates.  Bob saw it after lunch, and phoned me about it.  I understand it's under control.  Tried to call Charm, but she was out and about.  Probably packing her car with her paintings...I hope.

Yesterday I took the car to Rock Springs to get the wheels aligned.  I invited Ellen to go along.  We had a delightful day.  She's a hoot in Walmart in their electric carts.  She loves to shop there and be left alone.  We had a great lunch at Applebees, her treat..and came home later in some huge rain storms.  Neat day.

Green River Lakes from 23 thousand feet

My son in law sent this from a pilot friend.  You do want to double click on this to enlarge it.  This is quite a photograph!

Sharon Schell's open house

Sharon's art is amazing.  Loved being there this afternoon.

Should have stuck the picture of Dick Klaber and Bob admiring Sharon's lady!

These pictures don't do any of this justice.  She's transformed Bill's wood shop into this wonderful studio/gallery.

Ride up Irish Canyon

We rode into Lamberouix Meadows yesterday..almost to Johnson Lake.

It's different country..but an interesting ride.  We were on 4-wheeler trails almost the whole way. Bob is checking his gps here to see how far we are from Johnson Lake, where he camped with Amie and Jerry over three decades ago.  I had been up here 15 years or so with Mark, and knew about Chester's camp.  Bob was amazed.

And we rode by Chester's camp.  Jelly Bean was very unsure of all of that, but I made him stand and get used to all the dogs barking.  Chester came out and visited both times we went by.  It's quite a camp he has...he watches gates for Richie's for his "rent".
