Frosty Morning

This was actually yesterday...Sally asked me to send her a picture, so I took several.

We had Michael, Palmer and David out last night...Michael's "girls" were sick. Darn. Anyhow, we all had a neat evening. And they came baring gifts...even for Dell! Bob's still plowing.

We did a saftery meeting yesterday at Aaron's. Nice visit with Larry and Bill.

Well, in some ways this was a sad day. I helped Ken Shriver load the Crown S cow herd to be shipped. Certainly he is in no shape to run that place, and no one else seems to be interested. All the boys were there except Frankie. It went well. We cut back a few lame cows, one old hide that needs shot, and a calf. Erma was distraught, and that was expected. The buyer told me to do the counting..he said he always had a woman count if one was in the corral. Humm. The calves go in about two weeks.

Bob plowed at the airport. He looked on the internet this morning and saw that stuff was coming in under instrument controls, so he got out there early. Isn't it amazing what you can find on the internet.

My new rifle

Not a good picture of my "new" rifle...but I was showing it to Betty, Brent, and Scott. We have a friend who will cut it down for me, put a shock pad on it, and a scope. I'm excited to have it. It's a savage 99. Saw it at a gun show about a month ago in Rock Springs. We were busy with the horse sale, and I didn't spend enough time at the gun show to make a decision on it.

An enjoyable evening last night for sure. Also, special phone calls from Jane, Nanc, Barry, and Ruth! Merry Christmas all.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all who enter here! I know I've been remiss in updating my blog. I've been busy...ahh, no excuse...but also haven't done anything very interesting. This picture is the best winter scene I had on my computer.

Yesterday I went to a funeral of a good friend, Barbara Budd. What a lady! The turnout was remarkably small, but I'm sure the season had many people gone. Anyhow Charm and Lynn and I drove down. Then we had dinner and came home. Many memories of Barbara were rehashed, and laughed about.

Bob has been plowing snow...ahh, another tidbit of interesting reading.

We're having Cheeneys here for Christmas Eve. I'm certainly looking forward to that. Maybe I'll get a crib game in with Scott!

Anyhow, Merry Christmas to all.
