Nov 14th

We flew for a while this morning. That's Middle Sweeney Lake to the right, and Miller Lake to the left. Elk tracks all over up there..but we didn't see a single elk.

Today would be my dad's 104th birthday. Because it's so close to Veteran's Day, I posted this picture. He was "home" (Houston Texas which is where we were at the time, while he was serving during the war) on leave before he headed to the South Pacific. I remember when this photo was taken, and apparently it was one of Mother's favorites, as she had it framed and it was on her dresser ever after. Today is also the anniversary of his death..thirty five years ago. Can't believe it's been that long.
Referring to the photo session, the picture of us all setting on a yard bench, and I had Daddy's hat on, and a switch in my mouth was taken at the same time. Susan was the one who had gotten into trouble, there I was doing that...apparently unnotice at the time.

Idaho Falls Trip

Betty arrived at our house about 7:00 a.m. We were headed to Idaho Falls for an eye appointment for me. We were treated to seeing the goats in the Snake River Canyon. She sent me some of the photos she took, and I'm posting this one because the nanny is collared. Interesting. We didn't notice that until looking at her photos.
We stopped at Alpine for coffee..yum...and did some shopping before I headed for my appointment. I'll be going back for a lazor treatment next month.
We had a great lunch at Johnny Corinos.
Betty wound up getting new glasses. It seemed like she is really going to enjoy them.
We got home just as it was turning dark.

Flying today

Bob has been flying with CAP the last three days. So we took his plane up today for an hour and a half. It was a nice flight. Cold and clear and now wind.

Coming back down the
Green I spied this pond along the river with the interesting circles.
Looking streight down you are looking one of the landing gear wheels.

Artists' Guild at the Green River Bar

Carolyn Bing and I hosted Artists' Guild yesterday at the GRB. It turned out delightful.  I had visited with Ellen Reed about visiting with us about being raised there in Daniel. She talked for almost a half an hour...and everyone seemed interested.

The food of the day was the GRB slaw dogs. Soooo good.
