December 17th

Not a whole lot going on! Yesterday it was 0 here, -20 on the way up to the feedground and +5 there. Today it was warmer, however the ups and downs were similar. I have finally gotten most of our Christmas cards done, addressed, and sitting on the counter to go to the post office tomorrow. They should go out Monday. Hopefully they'll get where they are supposed to go by Christmas! I'm late for sure. Also, finishing up my calendars today! They'll be out shortly!

Computer Stuff

Well, what a day. First elk feeding. Lots of bulls today. Then spent the afternoon with Joella Dugan helping her with her computer. It was a joy just spending that time with her. I hope she learned something from it all. Then I worked on calendars. And then I got my computer on the dsl that I signed up for last week. Oh, it's sweet!

December 13th...

We counted roughly 300 head of elk at the feedground this morning. The herd is beginning to look respectable. Also, we saw another wolf yesterday. After feeding we drove to Jackson where Bob got his flight physical for the next two years. We did a little shopping and drove home. The roads are icy, and there were a few flakes of snow drifting down, and a lot "drifting" horizontal.

Yesterday I went to the courthouse for our snowmachine registrations...which we've resented because the money is for grooming trails etc. No groomers anywhere near ours. Well, it also turns out they have gone from $15.00 a year to $25.00 a year. I had enough money for the old fee...and was fumbling around and about to decide just to get one for the moment. Delta told me Mac had been stopped going to check on the dam at the lake, and found out if you just use snowmachines for work, and not recreation, they're not applicable. I called the number on the registration paper from last year, and it's so. He is going to issue us tax free permits.

The last two days we've been seeing deer. There has been a very noticable absence of deer on our trips to the Scab Creek Feedground.
