Thursday

After breakfast Bob said.."Let's go for a flight"..yeah..
This is just past Fremont Lake showing Long Lake and the canyon and mountains.

Not too great a shot of the Grandmothers.

And of course a shot of Willow Creek.

On the way home, I asked him to pull in so I could get a shot of the bear traps Zac set about a quarter of a mile from the house. We had a sow and two cubs here. Wish I'd seen them. Zac is pulling the traps out in this picture. He says they're still in the same area, about a mile northwest.
Betty called to see if I'd like to ride up to Jackson for lunch and to go to Cyd Davison's garage sale she's been working on for three years. Of course. We had a great time. Loved the visit with Cyd and her mom. The look on Cyd's face when she saw us..just past her turnoff, as she was heading to town for change and we were pulling into her place was priceless.

Little Trapper packtrip

Leaving Spring Creek Park with with Michael, Jennifer, Palmer, Kirsten, Vivie, Bob and myself.

Just riding up the trail.

The view just gets better and better.

 A little rock slide.
Kirsten cooking her supper.

Monday morning finds Kirsten trying to catch a fish.

Michael's family heading out.

We spent the rest of the day kicking back. Bob went for a walk and found a folding chair and a can of bear spray. I painted a little picture of the lake. after lunch we rode up to Neil Lake. A neat ride that sort of loosened up some of my old muscles. :)
The next morning we packed up camp. As we were haltering our horses from their pickets in belly deep grass..Toots certainly didn't loose weight..Michael and Palmer rode in with a pack horse. We packed the horses and headed out about noon.

I was unable to show the real trail..but here is one shot.

Palmer is a map reader...we had lunch at the lower end of Long Park and Palmer read the map and asked about different places the whole time.

We are headed out after luch. We got to the trucks in Spring Creek Park about three thirty. Home about five. The horses got a nice shot of grain and brushed down. The Cat scolded us for a good hour, and Salude was just glad everyone was home. We got showered, had a drink and headed for the Wrangler for supper.  Bob started getting ditch phone calls, so we did some ditch work on the way to the soccer game. The kids got badly beaten..but we were there to see it.  We got home and collapsed.
