A reunion of sorts
Last spring while riding the drift, Kathy Wipfler, pictured above rode up to me and said, "You must be Gina." I was amazed, as I was clueless as to who she was. Charm McLellan was her friend, and she'd read my blog. We had such a nice visit that day.
Well, it came to light...that we had other mutual friends..Amie Reynolds Richmond and Gerrie Richmond. Her friend, Larry Feuz guided Gerrie before he and Amie were even married and then later with Amie along too. He was interested in learning more about Amie's earlier life. We met today to fill in a few blanks. Later Bob guided Amie and Gerrie on his geology trips for twelve years, through the Wind Rivers. Larry had taken them into Yellowstone Park.
It was great fun for Bob and me..and I hope it happens again. Bob and Larry had a few laughs about guiding Gerrie...Jim McLellan joined us for a while, and we had more laughs. That's what friends are all about.
I should mention, Kathy is a heck of an artist too. Google her name and you'll come up with her web site. That's a cop-out I know..but I can't remember the full site name off hand.

This Morning's flight!
We flew up around Bondurant...neat flight. On the way back I had Bob go over my grandfathear's place ie Will's place. The top photo is the Will Pape place. You can see where a house burned down...I think in the seventies which was built by Bill and Rose Pape. The red roof is the garage Bill built. The home stead cabins are to the right. The old barn still stands.
This is what I call the Uncle Bob Albert Place. It's a mile down the Green River from Will's. Later Will bought it for Uncle Paul. When the places were lost to the bank years after Will's death, this was the last one to go. My dad signed a note for it, and went to Illinois to work for Yo's mother to pay it off. When Mother and Daddy were married they lived there. Daddy and Les Pons built the little cabin for Mother and Daddy. In 1940 they sold this place and bought the Willow Creek ranch. I've realized that made my grandmother homeless. :( This is where Donnie and I lived when we were first married. Donnie worked for Bill Pape who lived on Will's place.
