There was quite a drift in the gate....
Michael's four horse team..he was feeding cattle while we ran the heafers and cull stuff to the corral. It was kind of a train wreck getting them there through the river bottom...but we did get them there. We were still sorting (in deep crusted snow in the corral) when Michael got back from feeding.
Then after sorting, and vaccinating, we drove the heafers back to the feedground, Michael got stuck getting the trailer load up the hill. With first the tractor and then the truck tied on, and many attempts..(with me driving the lead team) we made it. Then there were cows down against the back gate. We had to transfer this load to Grant Whittman's trailer, as he was headed to Riverton. You might need to double click on this picture to see the truck and trailer which is loaded with old cows in the back.
And as if the day hadn't had it's share of problems, Bob bogged his mare down in a drift, and the sharp edged crusted snow really tore up her leg. This leg has much scaring from an old cut on it...so I don't know how she'll heal.
