...70 years ago last night, midnightish and twenty below zero, my folks rode out of our ranch on the front bobs of a sled to Cora...Uncle Rod broke trail on old Goldie. At Cora Mother went in to warm up. The men build a fire under the old red dodge truck, and pulled it with the team to start it. Mother and Daddy made it to Jackson by seven in the morning and at seven thirty I was born, two months early. Dr McLeod and the janitor at the hospital built an incubator for me out of an orange crate and a light bulb. I was three pounds.
This picture of me is probably about two months later when they brought me home.
