Wilma, Erma, Mary Pat!
Ellen, Betty, and Betty Lou. Somehow Tami Leach didn't get in the picture. And of course your photographer. We drove out there past the Fish Hatchery...up the Pape Road...through the old Will Pape ranch..and the whole drive was great. Erma had never been there before. We drove home...up the river..and across Forty Rod...down the Cora Road...through the Ehman Lane where we left off Wilma and Erma...then to Pinedale. It was a really neat day.
I should mention the day began with Gordon Johnston's funeral at the Daniel Cemetery. He looked forty five...and was buried on his seventy eighth birthday. After a couple of really warm days, all of us at the cemetery nearly froze in the cold wind. It did warm up some later.

Our ride up above Half Moon Lake..
Bob and Nube heading up the trail toward Fayette. That trail hasn't improved over the last forty + years, that's for certain.
On Sunday, Brian came over to borrow a ladder and air up bicycle tires. While we were enjoying the sun in front of the house, Hank Ruland walked by, returning from his constitutional. He joined us for a while...and Brian gleaned a lot of information on wireless internet and rving.
After lunch, Bob and I went to Jerrys to catch the horses. We decided to go for a late afternoon ride...up above Half Moon Lake.
Monday morning we got up at four..ate and saddled up in the dark. It was just getting light as we gathered the bunch. The drive today went very well...they moved the best they ever have across there. I didn't bring my camera, so no pictures there. It didn't get too hot before we got to Sommer's...the calves traveled well...the cows didn't just bog their heads to eat...I enjoyed every minute. Sorting the pairs was a little dicey at times...but we got it done. As usual, DeeAnn and Dawn had a "to die for" meal ready.
When we got home, we met Paul Hagenstein at the ditch and made a plan. It gets turned on tomorrow. Then Bob drove me through the ditch, he's spent weeks cleaning decades of old growth willows from. It was a boulevard. He drives through the culverts and all. I walked through them.

Donnie Calhoun's funeral
The girls bringing Donnie to his resting place.
After Donnie Calhoun's funeral we looked at the veteran's memorial. There are a lot of names there that you could say "Who would have guessed!" It's a neat memorial..as is the one in the Legion Park in Pinedale

Hank and Debi
Hank walked by this morning and stopped on his way home from his walk. We had coffee and settled the world's problems. Later I walked over there to see Debi and their home. I love their setup!

Feeding for Michael
Michael took a load of culls to Riverton today...and we fed the cows. Coming in I thought the sky was gorgeous. Later..in that horrid wind, we went out to Jerry's, and Bob put front shoes on Nube. Tomorrow she gets her back shoes!

My Mother's Day story
This was the only picture I took at Betty's last night when we were there for dinner. Brent did steaks on the grill..Betty did the rest. It was great, and I loved being there. Thanx!
This morning Jane and Nancy called...really enjoyed that!
Bob is trimming Toots to shoe her! Yup...summer's coming! We'll be helping Charles with his cattle drive next week. The Mother's Day tea at the retirement center. Audrey, Adie, and Thomas were there as well as Robin! I took this of Ruth with her car that Robin got her a few years ago.
