Days in the life of The Cat!

I was amazed to see he'd jumped on top of the shower curtain rod! Then Scott and Jace show up with a puppy...the Cat could have been really good friends with her. She's a cutie1
And after all of that, he's just whipped...and has to rest up for his nightly romp through the house.

He used to like to lie on Bob's shoulders, but he's too big now, and isn't comfortable.

Bob's plowing daily at the airport..putting in many hours. Yesterday and today are bridge days for me. Yesterday in Pinedale, today in Big Piney.

I snagged this off of pinedaleonline.com. What a picture. Wish we had snow like that here. We are in a winter storm warning...no unnecessary travel...all that..and it appears to be doing nothing. We got roughly one inch of snow last night. There's a little wind out that could cause havoc later if it gets worse. Bob's plowing, and loving it.

Happy New Year! 2009

Well, I expect if you were to check my blog a year ago, the pictures would be about the same. It's a fun thing to do, go to White Pine to watch the torchlight parade down the hill. Afterwards they had fire works, and an impressive display, I might add. Jim is sporting a sprained ankle, and he stayed home. Charm loaded her sled with skiing equipment, and go out on the town clothes, and snowmachined out of Boulder Lake to come to town. Brave lady! She gets in her car at the parking lot..comes to the airport to change clothes, and then comes to town. She reverses that going home...and at night yet!
This is a cute picture of everyone!

Our waiter took this of all of us. For any who don't know us all, that would be Bob on the left, me next to him, Meghann and Dave Smith. Across the table are Joe and Lynn Thomas and Charm McLellan. Meghann, I'm embarrassed that I can't remember your last name. :) Sadly, Jim was at home with his foot up...a snowmachine accident. Get better Jim!

Still blizzarding today!!!

It was still dark about seven thirty this morning...The Cat had been out three times, each time deciding that wasn't for him. Here, he gives up and is just watching the snow blow off the roof from a comfortable place near the fireplace, inside. Bob had been plowing for hours.

Christmas Day!

Scott with his grandmas!!!!
Time out to try Brent's new dancing boots.
Brent carving the turkey. Hey Nanc, your oranges in the turkey did wonderful. Who knew? We all thought it was a moist, tastefull bird.
Dinner at Cheeney's. My place is to the left of Bob..then going left to right, is Dick Cheeney, Scott Cheeney, Brent Cheeney, Betty Cheeney, Don Shriver, Carol Cheeney, and Bob.
The Cat had great fun with the ribbons, when we opened our gifts....about nine p.m.

Christmas Eve at Michael and Jennifer's...

I added this photo later....

Jennifer did a wonderful Christmas Eve DAY for us....wow! She did a Swedish smorgasbord, that you are supposed to spend twelve hours eating. Well, we probably demolished it in two hours. I wish you could see the kid's table in this picture. And Donna is behind Bob. Somehow I didn't get any pictures of her.

The smorgasbord!!!! The breads were on the table, and the pies were in our car...being the 2nd refrigerator.

The kids opening presents...

I forgot to mention, we went out to Dick Noble's for the live Nativity scene afterwards. It was great. There are pictures of it on pinedaleonline.com. The main picture must have been taken from right behind where I was kneeling.

Merry Christmas all who come here!

Christmas Eve Bob went to plow early. Brain came bringing gifts. We went to Jennifer and Michael's for a traditional Swedish buffet. Jennifer did a fabulous meal. I brought two pies and a salad. Jennifer had some friends from her church join us. The kids opened their gifts from us. We all went out to Dick Nobles for the live nativity scene and story in their barn. We had cookies and hot chocolate by the bon-fire afterwards. It was a glorious way to spend Christmas eve.

We were up at four, and Bob is plowing at the airport. We are joining Betty and Brent and all for Christmas dinner. I am so looking forward to that.

Winter Solstice with Charm and Jim

"You have no idea how hard it is getting ready for this shin-dig!!! :) Yeah right, Jim! Dave and Megan..
Jim and Connie..

Fresh wolf tracks we saw on the way out.
I'm having computer trouble...that if fed ex ever gets here, should be remidied. But I laughed so hard at the picture of Jim, I downloaded my photo program on Bob's computer..(I should have done it before we went to Laramie, huh Jane)...so I could downsize the pictures to put on the blog.
We had a wonderful time at Charm's and Jim's for her b.d. that she fondly refers to as her winter solstice party. Anyhow, we certainly love being included.
Yesterday we got some snow. After it let up, I was able to spend a little time with Lynn, and we went to the clinic and then to Performance Tech to get her car. I do hope it's running good. It took long enough to get it done.
Bob's plowing today...I'm going to do some cooking for tomorrow which we're spending at Jennifer and Michael's.
My Eddie Bauer order still isn't here...so most everyone's Xmas from us isn't here.

To Jackson with Lynn

They had the most awesome Nativity scene at encology in the Jackson hospital. My pictures didn't turn out well...the camera didn't want to focus through the glass or something. Anyhow, this is the best, and it isn't great. I picked Lynn up at seven thirty and we headed to Jackson. Traveling was slow, but not difficult. We did see the sheep along the road, but they were just wrong to take a picture, so this is what I have to show. I'm sure you'll get her update on her blog...but I have to say she is the most patient lady...I do love her.

Ran down the hall and visited with Betty and Brent. He had outpatient surgery, and is probably home as I write this. He was to stay overnight thou...his surgery was after three in the afternoon.

Lynn and I saw the darnedest phenomenon as we drove home last night. Just south of the rim, look toward Hoback Ranches, it looked for all the world like six homes were afire. Now, you have to realize, we were driving in snowing conditions and fog...and we are hoping it was the reflection of Christmas lights in all of that. But it looked like fire. Lynn...I wish we'd stopped and taken pictures. Why didn't we???

Some things never change!!!

This picture was taken last year.... This was taken today while I was trying to decorate the tree.

I did use all decorations he couldn't hurt...you'll notice some on the floor...well as I write this, they are all on the floor. I don't know whether to put them back or put them away for another year. You would think he might outgrow this, maybe???
