Let's see. We went to an orientation meeting at Aaron and Sandy's for water filtration out on the anticline. There were ten of us there. It was so cold, we didn't go out to the filter for hands on work with it. We'll do that at a warmer time.
Charm had bridge here. All of our regulars were here except Pat. She fell hard, about an hour before we played, and called to say she couldn't come. Luckily, she didn't break anything.

We went to Nomi's funeral. It was beautifully done. Then a reception at Rendezvous Point. Many many people there.

Yesterday we hooked up the horse trailer in the dark at -20 and went out to Michael's to load a beef. We hauled her over to Dana's cold storage in Thayne to be butchered. It was a gorgeous drive. We saw two elk feedgrounds...ahh yes, another herd of elk, and three moose. Later in the afternoon we went out and visited with Keith Anderson. We haven't paid enough attention to him, and he's missing us big time.

Today we go in for a "drug" test....yes, we have to submit to that...and later I'm playing bridge. I'll pick up Pat, who decided to go, but didn't want to drive.

Frost on Window

O.k. so I take photos of strange things...this is a little bit of frost that I thought was beautiful.

Winter Sunrise

If you look hard enough, there is some good in all days. This was yesterday morning. We went with Sandy down to the BP center for their safety orientation. Much later in the day I found out about Nomi's death, and Adella's. There's a time for everything, but sometimes these times come too soon.

Tradin' out axels

Photographing mechanics who are intent upon their work isn't easy. Scott has a "new to him" truck..and he and his dad traded axels. It's a nice truck.

Snowing here...Bob's been plowing all day...lots of planes coming in for a funeral. The snow isn't really building up, but the runway was hard to see, so he was trying to keep the blacktop showing for the pilots. I took him lunch and then dropped by Cheeneys to see what was going on there.

Bob's plowing today

He plowed at the airport...I should have pictures of that...and then came home and plowed. Jim and Charm have about eight inches up there...Jim moved the car out and brought the snowmachines in about two this morning. We only have several inches of new snow.

Pix of the Torch Light Parade

Check out pinedaleonline...to which there's a link just to the right of this...for neat pictures of the torch light parade New Year's Eve up at White Pine. Great pictures.

Goodbye President Ford

Bob finished the box he built, and insulated for the water tank. This photo is of it being moved into place. It is very heavy.

Then we went to Michael's and caught our horses, and brought them home. It's good to have them here!

I just watched President Ford's funeral at the Washington Cathedral. It was a fine tribute to a fine man.

Happy New Year 2007

Hope this year brings joy to you all!

We said goodbye to 2006 by watching the torch light parade at White Pine. Friends and family were in it...and many onlookers enjoyed the sight. We then had great shrimp at the Stockman's. Jim and Charm and Dave Smith were with us...also ran into Dino and Marsha, among others. The town seemed very quiet. We missed having Barry and Nancy with us this year! (Yes, I know you are having fun at Escalante with your brother, Barry!) Happy New Year all!

Frosty Morning

This was actually yesterday...Sally asked me to send her a picture, so I took several.

We had Michael, Palmer and David out last night...Michael's "girls" were sick. Darn. Anyhow, we all had a neat evening. And they came baring gifts...even for Dell! Bob's still plowing.

We did a saftery meeting yesterday at Aaron's. Nice visit with Larry and Bill.

Well, in some ways this was a sad day. I helped Ken Shriver load the Crown S cow herd to be shipped. Certainly he is in no shape to run that place, and no one else seems to be interested. All the boys were there except Frankie. It went well. We cut back a few lame cows, one old hide that needs shot, and a calf. Erma was distraught, and that was expected. The buyer told me to do the counting..he said he always had a woman count if one was in the corral. Humm. The calves go in about two weeks.

Bob plowed at the airport. He looked on the internet this morning and saw that stuff was coming in under instrument controls, so he got out there early. Isn't it amazing what you can find on the internet.
