Deer

I appoligize for the lengthy non blog..

We've had a lot of deer and moose come through, but I haven't gotten any decent pictures. These were just outside the dining room window...and it's a cell phone shot. We had a cow and calf moose this morning...and have seen several bulls a lot lately.

The Cheeneys have been deer hunting, and this is the one Scott got.

Brent got this one a week or two before Scott got his. Both are really nice.

Last couple of days...

Flying across the Wyoming range this morning...landed in Afton...gorgeous flight.

Jane was here this weekend. She brought us a freezer load of her elk meat. 

 Betty and I gave her a lesson in Betty's rock shop. The next morning Betty wire wrapped her stones for beautiful pendants. We had dinner at the Den at Daniel...a great time.

The early morning gather moving cows with Prices'. It was a stellar day for moving cows..and I enjoyed every minute. Topped off with DeeAnn's wonderful meal.

This and that

I went to Mesquite with Betty. I love the trips with her.. Also

a little luck in LV. Also went to circus de lay with Betty..an amazing show.

We'd polished off a couple of margueritas and were headed for some supper before the show.

Michael and Jennifer brought the girls over last night for trick or treating. It's a treat for us.

Michael said this was the closest his dad had been to a princess. lol

A couple rocks cut and polished in Betty's rock shop..then worked up in my silver shop. Such fun.

Sunday

Of course these load up the last first, so that's the was I'll leave them. This is the narrows at New Fork Lake where we took a picnic and had out lunch yesterday. We could tell from the air it was so low.

Having said that, I've seen it lower. I've seen it where I thought I could walk the rocks across, which I have never tried. No way yesterday.

In the morning we took a flight up to Bondurant to look at the fire area. We saw several spots that are still smoldering. It was a nice flight.

Flight yesterday

We sort of did a circle around looking at fall color for about an hour and a half.

There was a lot of fog in the upper Green and over the lakes.

This of the upper Green turned out pretty good.

The color over Big Flat Top wasn't at it's best, but we saw the red under the spruce patch.

Pictures of Palmer's first elk...a really nice young cow. Pretty neat that he and his dad and grandpa were all there.  

Last night we went to the Den to celebrate his hunt. We had a lot of fun hearing all the stories. Palmer took some pictures..but I haven't got them yet. If I do, I'll post at least one here.
