This and That..

As always, I do far more posting on fb than here.
This is a b.d. dinner we did with Bob's sons celebrating Michael and Jennifer's birthdays, several weeks late. We went to the Den, and although it was very noisy, it was a lot of fun, and the food was great.

Sara's mare foaled the other day. He's about 12 hours old here, and really on his feet.

Faith Reed and I went to Rock Springs clothes shopping theother day. I drove her out to the wild horse corrals which she didn't know were there. This photo doesn't begin to show all the horses.

Eberhardts were here

Brent cooked us burgers...Thad and Troy and I played crib...I was the main loser there. But I did get a couple games. It was great to see them.  Oh..Brent did waffles the next morning too! Sounds like Betty didn't do anything huh? Oh believe me she did. She cooked, cleaned and pulled it all together.

Another neat ride...

Back in the saddle again!!!

The other afternoon when there was no wind we took a couple hour ride out on the Mesa. We saw lots and lots of antelope and a few deer. It was good to get on a horse.

Saturday

Friday I brought Bob home. He had an abdominal aneurysm burst and mostly just caused pain. There was enough pressure that the ekg showed something. But the pain was down considerable, and the doctors all turned him loose.
Yesterday we went up to Kendall Valley Lodge for a nice lunch.
In the Evening Michale's family all came out to visit. Vivie and The Cat had quite a visit.

Wednesday morning 2:00 a.m.

We rushed Bob to the clinic with acute chest pain. This is our wonderful team to came to his rescue. Far back, Leslie Hagenstein, Sue Briggs-Stanfill and Amy Deeds.

He took off for Idaho Falls. I went home and gathered stuff..packed suite cases. About six I started calling family.  Michael came over and helped me get out a bale for the horses. About seven I headed to Idaho Falls as it started snowing. I drove through snow and fog almost the whole way. Got there after eleven. Found out he was checked in with his name misspelled, which was fouling up all of his records. Got that streightened out before I even went up to see him. He actually was doing very well.

Flying yesterday Feeding Elk today

Yesterday it was a gorgeous day and we flew down around Prospector Butte, and up along the mountains to the Green River Lakes..over Todd's elk feedground that was full of elk, then up over our old cow camp...over to John's feedground and back to the airport. Lovely flying day.

The south feedgrounds are all empty but the the north ones have a lot of elk.

Today we snowmachined up to Todds feedground. We saw deer, moose and wolves...no elk. The wolves had chased the elk off last night killing three. Zootie is making us cookies. Oh they were good.

We went out with Todd and scattered hay for them when they return.

Bob helped Zootie scatter hay.

Lucy is in charge.

The new couch

My girls went together on a new couch for my birthday.
Friday, Betty and I went to Rock Springs...met up with Jane who drove up from Laramie and couch shopped. Actually it was a hoot. I did not take a picture of the best part. After actually picking this one, we drove down town to Rushmore Furnature just to make sure they didn't have a better one. On the outside of the first window was a large sign that said, "Color Televisions". We laughed so hard. We did go back to Paris Furnature.

Jane had the couch loaded in her pickup and brought it up. Scott brought his crew over to take the old one out and put the new one in. Wow. Later we all met for dinner at the Stockman's. Nothing I love more than deals with my kids. We all missed Nancy...but she was busy.

The living room got turned around...I really like it this way.
