Father's Day

We had plans to meet Bob's boys at Kendall Valley Lodge. So we drove up a little early and went up past the end of the oil til we met Kent Price with his crew...which we should be part there of!!! They'd had a fairly easy day..and the day is gorgeous beyond everything, so they were riding back. We had a neat visit.

Coke Landers and his crew were also meeting at KVL for the Father's day brunch, so I took this. You can barely see Molly on the right. Mike Beard is at the end of the table visiting with Michael.

Here you can see Kirsten, David, Michael, Jennifer and Vivie. The meal was awesome, and the get together was really great.

Back over to Coke's table. Jason someone on the left, then Bobby Gilbank with the rest of his crew.

Michael visiting with Lee and Earl Right. You can also see Bob and Palmer and David back by the window.
The guys and Vivie!

Bow Shoot in Big Piney

Jennifer and Vivie

Palmer with a couple of his buddies..

Bob, Jennifer and her mother, Donna

Michael and Jennifer..I was trying for a picture of Michael showing his longer hair.

The end of the day as we were pulling away from the fair grounds, we saw this flat bed with the tonka toys strapped down. I thought it was a hoot.
After the shoot we all went to supper at the Bench, over at the Marbelton Inn. Awesome dinner.

Memorial Day

This is a late lunch at the Brew Pub.  Jane called on their way through and asked us to meet them for lunch.
We had already eaten at the VFW after attending the Veterans Memorial Service at the cemetary. By the way that was really nice.  We took Paul Hagenstein to the VFW for lunch and then took him home. We'd just gotten home when Jane called.  We pulled up at the Pub and so did Betty and Brent. So we had a great visit while Steeres ate. As we were ready to leave, Scott and Sara showed up. They had no idea we were there. It was a short visit with them but fun.

Rainy Memorial Day

We drove up to Kendall Valley Lodge for lunch. Pretend the gas tank isn't there. The mountains which really didn't show up well with this camera were beautiful.

This is at the dam on the lake..love the water roaring through it.

Then we drove up to the old ranch to change water. Had to stop and chat with ML's little colt.

Some of the flowers and mushrooms were all over.

Bob out doing his irrigating. And here I thought I'd be doing that. Even wounded he's a way better irrigator than I am. I waited till it cleared a little to gas up the car, and a little squall came in and I was drenched in just that amount of time.
Yesterday Jane and Scott stopped for a while to visit and let dogs out. Jane has Oscar here with Molly and Jeb.

Later in the kitchen Scott is with all four dogs, Molly, Kizzy, Jeb and Oscar. Oscar was on a mission to keep Molly in the living room and it got quite funny..and loud. Finally Bob got him in his lap and quieted down. Really nice to have the kids for a while. Jane brought me a shamrock she started for me. I think it's lineage dates back to ranch days..and I got my start from Erma Shriver.

A Day in the life of a "wounded" ditch rider..

Bob was called to turn water down the Cooley ditch.

We visited Allen and Faith while on that run.

Several bucks were in the yard cropping dandilions.  Yeah. Their horns are really growing.

Got a call to shut the ditch off.

The trash wrack filled up and water over flowed at the Morman Church. We followed the over flowed water clear to the east edge of town. A while later after Harvey got the trash wracks cleaned we turned it back on.  Will add more tomorrow. These little ditches are almost more of a problem than the whole canal.

A little trauma going on here...

Bob wrecked his four wheeler while cleaning the ditch Friday morning.  With cell phone in pocket, he managed to get up..get to the pickup and get to the clinic..with a broken neck and ribs.
Dr Stoklund and Kappenman looking at Bob's cat scan

The emts getting him ready to be air lifted to the U of U hospital.

Into the helicopter.

In the NACU trauma critical care unit there.

He was discharged yesterday afternoon.  He's writing a thank you note on their orders board.

Last night, he and the cat are asleep in his chair.  All's good.

Friday Saturday Sunday Monday

Our back yard just a few minutes ago.

Sunday afternoon we drove up to the lake to check the dam.  Then we drove up to the campgrounds which are looking better but not open.  Then we drove up Skyline drive till here.  Then we drove into Half Moon Lake.  It was a neat drive.

Saturday afternoon, after Harry Steele's service I went up to Boulder Lake with the kids.  Jane and her dogs had a lot of un in the lake.

Oscar ventured out on this rock.  He had to swim to get there but was afraid to get off.  Jane waded out to rescue him.

Brent drove up on this on the way to Stokes Crossing.

Betty and Brent coming back across the crossing.

Jane drove up Friday afternoon.  We went over to Cheeney's for dinner. Two out of three of my girls together isn't bad.  It was a neat weekend.
