The reason Scott had surgery today.

Lunch and Bridge at Pompy's!

Kathy invited Sue, Ellen and me to lunch and bridge yesterday.  It was such a gorgeous day for the drive out there.  Their place overlooks Friendly Creek and much meadow.  They had deer feeding with their horses (not on purpose), but it was fun to see out the living room window.
Mike made us lunch...and Kathy made Texas brownies.  Kathy treated us to her wonderful piano playing.  I loved it.  It was a delightful day.

This is a shot I took as the sun was hitting the bushes out the window.  It really doesn't show how pretty is was..including the light on the icecicles.

I was treated to several good hands, but Ellen won high. She was extatic about that.

Saturday in Jackson with the Eberhardts

After a great meal at Nora's in Wilson, we drove up the Gros Ventre.  We stopped near the sight where Thad shot his buffalo for a photo shoot.  This is Thad and Tana.

Nancy, Thad and Tana!

Nancy, Thad, Tana and Troy!!

Gina, Nancy, Thad, Tana and Troy!

Gina and Bob!
As we left this spot, we saw two black wolves on the ridge above the road.

Last weekend

Cheeneys went to Crested Butte for the X games qualifier.  This is Scott.

Three generation selfie...we were watching Thad play hockey in Jackson.
Bob and I went to Jackson early..we had to wait quite a while for elk crossing the highway headed for a feedground.

Thad is # 30.  After Thad's first game we drove to Wilson for lunch at Nora's.  Then we did some driving.  We saw two wolves on the Gros Ventre.  It was gorgeous there, there was so much hoarfrost on all the trees.  Bob went home to care for dogs.  I stayed, watched another game, spent the night with the kids..watched a morning game and then we came home.  We stopped at the Brew Pub for lunch.  Many of the other Cheyenne families stopped there too.  It was funny how many came in.  After that..we drove out to Scott and Sara's to check on the cat and horses.  They came home very late.

Well it's been a while since I've blogged.  Not much of interest going on here.  There's a little winter going on.  Bob's plowing.  I'm doing pt, dr apps and bridge.

Bob brought in the old horses from pawing.  They want back out please!
We had Betty's dogs for a while, and things really go quiet when they went home.
I very seldom talk about other peoples problems on here, but just want to send out a prayer for Judi.  We hope her recovery goes well.

Christmas Eve

Bob went to the airport about five thirty to plow.  I later went to Cheeney's for mimosas.  What fun.

We got into quite a cribbage game, and Scotty and and I were the winners of that.

Jennifer had her Swedish dinner again, which was wonderful.  She out does her self every year. After a nice visit, Bob went back to the airport to plow, and I went back to Cheeney's.

Soctt and Sara dressed for the occaision.  I love it.  Sara was so cute.  Scotty was funny.
We played all sorts of games.  Bob came over later, and got involved playing spoons and bs.  It was a great day.  Loved being with part of the family.
This morning I was on the phone with Nancy for nearly an hour. They are getting snow there too.  They are having a smoked turkey dinner.  Yumm.

This was me yesterday.  We went up to Charm and Jim's for their Winter Solstise Party.  This year David was invited.  Neat having him there.  I didn't take any pictures, but stumbled on this when I was searching for a picture.  Charm out did herself as usual.  Oh, and another newcomer to the party was Scarlett Smith.  She was so cute and won everyone over.
It was good to see on Judi's blog that she/they went for a walk.  What a trooper.  And a picture of Duene looking chipper.  Life is good from here.  Special friends who are having a rough time.  Love them.
We had a yard full of the seven moose again yesterday.  Didn't put on the show they did the other day, but they were around a long time.
Bob is plowing today.  I'm going to put up our little tree, and pull out the decorations that I have to enjoy every year.  Hand made when the girls were little.  Doesn't get better than that.
I also need to mention that Charm and Jim have a stunning Christmas tree.  It has quite a story too, about a moose that was hanging out with the tree, and it took them two days to get it. This morning I decided to put up our little table top tree. The Cat turns into an eight year old seventeen pound kitten when a Christmas tree shows up.  I had a lot of help.  If this doesn't end up on the floor scattered all over the house before the season is over, I'll be really lucky.

Jane told me I should post a picture of this...my Christmas present from Nancy.  She made it.  Put tears in my eyes.  Love it Nanc!

Five bull moose

We had quite a moose show yesterday.  There were five bulls and two cows.  They all stayed together and did a little clacking.  When you watch this, there's a little funny going on in the background.  Our horses are back there, and Jelly Bean isn't liking the moose invasion much.  Old Salude, however, just stands there, doesn't even look, with a "who cares" attitude.  Gotta love him!
