Fish with Joella and Bob

Last winter Joella flew to Texas to spend some time with Bob.  She did a lot of fishing.

Bob does an awesome job of deep frying them.  She did the rest of the dinner, after which she beat us all thoroughly in a game of dominoes.  It was a neat evening.  If you look in the background you can see she set up our dinner outside.  It was a perfect evening for an outside dinner.

Charm's Mural

Her blank page after she and Jim snapped the grid lines.

She didn't like the color she had, so it's being warmed up.

It will be exciting to see it progress.

Bondurant Days

Betty and I bought a "booth" in Bondurant today.  We did well.  And it was great fun.

Saturday.

I have back country navigator on my phone.  This is the track it recorded Saturday when we went on a side by side trip with Cheeneys.  Again, it was a great day.  This is a cool app.

Side by Side trip with Cheeneys and friends

We put about thirty five miles on the Rhino yesterday.  It was a great day, and I enjoyed every minute.
This is the picture of Betty that I thought I was posting on fb last night.

Love this of Brent with Bob and Paul.

It's hard to capture the trails we were on, but this sort of does.  We were on a lot of ridges, viewing awesome country, which I had never seen before.

This was after Paul got stuck and Brent winched him out.

Another time stopped after a "soft" spot.

Some of the points were we stopped to admire the country were truly neat. We're overlooking Noble Basin and the Upper Hoback here.

Oscar had a great time...but he still has selective hearing.  He was wearing bells and a very visable jacket.
We found Thad's tree..

And Betty and Brent's tree...actually both of them...but we couldn't find Tana's.  She has one up there though.

Later we met Betty and Brent at Pitchfork Fondue for dinner.  As always, that was great.  Thank you guys for a wonderful day.  Made my summer!

After dinner we drove up to the lake to check the staff gauge.  This was the sky coming home.

Hanger door repair

A few years ago, when there was a huge English helicopter here doing high altitude cold weather training, they, the English, had to enlarge the main hanger door to get their helicopter in there.  It was important to store it inside in a heated inviroment.  Well, now the door is having problems, and to quote Ryan, it's having major surgery.  Meanwhile, some of the planes that are hangered in there, are out on the ramp..Bob's being one of them.  We went down to put the cover on it, and one of the snaps came appart.  Guess who fixed it!

Yup..Tom Colerick.  He did it in short order, and it was fun visiting in his shop.

Trip to Cheyenne

Friday we drove to Cheyenne to spend time with Nancy and Troy and Tana.  Thad was gone.  We had Frontier Days tickets for Saturday.  The above photo is of the Grand Entry, and the gal on the left is Rylee Anderson, daughter of an old friend of Nancy's.  It was fun to watch her.  I really didn't photograph the rodeo or the parade, which we watched first.

That night Bob and I went over to Pat Stanocheck's home, which is very near Eberhard's.  We were invited for dinner, as an old friend of mine from Maryland was there.  Bill Millar..who is sitting there with Bob.  After this dinner, we all went to Lady Antebellum.  It was a great show.  I'd do that again.

These photos definately aren't in order, but this is where we were to watch the parade.  It was in the shade, and we had a grand view.

On our way home on Sunday, we went by Curt Gowdy State Park, which Bob hadn't seen, and he got to enjoy some of David's art.

This is in the center..Bob's signing in, I think.  Anyhow, the gal there graduated with Thad last spring.  We stopped in Laramie for a chat with Jane.  She treated us to lunch before we left.  The girls were so neat to us.

Sunday morning, we had bacon and hashbrowns and fresh eggs out on the deck.  Pure heaven as far as I'm concerned.

Tana with her lamb.

Friday night after dinner that Nancy made us, Troy took us all for frozen youurt in his gto. Great treat.

Birthday dinner for Bob

Bob's birthday was actually Sunday, but this is the first chance to get his family here.
We dined on hamburgers and fruit...and cherry pie.
Then we had a rousing game of spoons.  The kids and Michael had never played spoons.  It was a fun evening.
