This Morning's flight!

We flew up around Bondurant...neat flight.  On the way back I had Bob go over my grandfathear's place ie Will's place.  The top photo is the Will Pape place.  You can see where a house burned down...I think in the seventies which was built by Bill and Rose Pape.  The red roof is the garage Bill built.  The home stead cabins are to the right.  The old barn still stands.

This is what I call the Uncle Bob Albert Place.  It's a mile down the Green River from Will's.  Later Will bought it for Uncle Paul.  When the places were lost to the bank years after Will's death, this was the last one to go.  My dad signed a note for it, and went to Illinois to work for Yo's mother to pay it off.  When Mother and Daddy were married they lived there.  Daddy and Les Pons built the little cabin for Mother and Daddy.  In 1940 they sold this place and bought the Willow Creek ranch.  I've realized that made my grandmother homeless.  :(  This is where Donnie and I lived when we were first married.  Donnie worked for Bill Pape who lived on Will's place.

Bridge with Mardell Fear in Jackson

Some of us drove to Jackson for lunch with Mardell and then an afternoon of bridge.

She encluded some of her friends at River Rock.  We had a break when the fire alarm went off, and we all had to evacuate.  She is on the second floor.  Turned out someone working on the heating system caused it, but it was somewhat of an adventure.  We had to get all the walkers down the stairs as well as the people.

Going home these guys were on the road, and didn't want to move.

Drive to New Fork Lake

Brian and Krish and Hunter have been here several days.  We drove to New Fork Lake yesterday morning.  Hunter and Kizzie loved the water.  They were both wet!!!

Company!

Kiz is here for the weekend!  Meanwhile, the Brian Klaren's drove from Eagle Idaho for the weekend too.  Hunter was delighted Kizzy is here.  They're playing ball with several balls.

And I missed the good picture here...Kiz was holding down two balls, until I got the camera out!  It was soooo funny!

Doing a little catch up blogging here....

Bob just finished cleaning the corral.  Toots will be the first to "take care of that" probably!

Then we went out to Price's and got our winter's hay.  It's beautiful.

This morning's flight

Some of the country is ablaze with color...which is great with some white in the mountains.

Green River Lakes had fog on it this morning.
The only game we saw was three black wolves on Pinion Ridge.

Huge snowflakes

Looking across our back yard at Dale's trees.

We've been riding at the cutting grounds the last few days.  Bob goes down on the drive to Albert's while I go with DeeAnn's bunch.  We take them to Garlie's, sort the Price yearlings off, and push them on to Johnny Wardell's old place, which the Prices have recently purchased.  It works out that I get home about three hours ahead of Bob.

Artists' Guild at Mary Anne Almquists' home

We had 14 peope...it was a delightful afternoon.  Above from the left, is Charm, behind her, is Sandy Bousman, and Carrie Budd.  Mary Anne is standing, then Sandy Brewer is to the right of Charm, Julie James is across the table at the corner, and to her left are Jonita and Cat.

The back of Sandy Bousman's head, then Charm, the Sandy Brewer, Elaine, Sue and Cat.

This is a little log house that Sid made for Amie's nephew probably early 50's.  It's been in the museum, not on display, and Mary Anne requested it and got it.  I remember it in construction.

Elaine, Sandy and Charm.
Bob didn't get home from riding until 8:30 last night.  I went to the Western entertainment thing at the library put on by the PEO.  It was very good.

Cat, Sue and Madeleine.
