All sorts of stuff this afternoon...

Well the excitement began with the carbon monoxide detector going off. Oh dear..what now. I called the sheriff's office. We there decided to call Pinedale Natural Gas. I got an answering service in Colorado. They got Allen Zeigler who was in church..they didn't have a detector. Remembering the sheriff's office used one that belonged to Search and Rescue, I called Brent and Betty. She said just call 911. I did..got the same lady. She called the fire department. Then the sheriff deputy came, followed shortly by an ambulance. They all agreed we were healthy..but the little detector continued to voice it's warning. Twenty seven minutes later the fire department came...followed shortly by Gene Paul Pearson. One detector registered -3, and the other registered 0. They spent half an hour turning on the water heater and furnace...testing all registers and rooms. Nothing. I picked up the unit...should have done this first...and read the small print on the back...who knew three sharp chirps mean...you need a new detector. Non of those guys did..but we all do now! We had a sheriff, ambulance, two firemen, Pinedale Natural Gas man, and Altec here. Wonder what the neighbors think.

I took this out the window in Betty's car on the way home Tuesday.  Most of those photos don't turn out...but I thought this was pretty amazing.

Our Christmas tree

I just wanted to post a picture before it gets trashed by the Cat!  A Christmas tree brings out the worst (?) in him...he was tearing around the house and broke an antique lamp that had been Bob's mother's.  Oh well..it's his home too!  We got this when we went up with Prices.  They have some gorgeous trees on their property.  That too was a fun day...loved being included in their Christmas tree getting tradition.

Snaps of our trip to the NFR

We drove to Mesquite the first day.  Found out there I like the Wheel of Fortune 25 cent machines.  When we got to Las Vegas the next day, we checked in and then we spent the first afternoon walking the strip...

And we got margueritas at  Margaritaville...:)

And then the other kids got in...so we went to the Num Bar...that was a pick-me-up after their long trip...

The places run together...and I can't remember where this was...but it was fun!  Everyone was laughing so hard...the girls were dancing...and the food was to die for.

Brent ordered dessert.

Starbucks the next morning...long evening gambling...mostly broke even. Actually at this point I was still ahead from Mesquite.  I definately have some favorites...but I wound up liking three card.

Went to the Flint Rassmenson show at Cowboy Christmas...and he's telling Nancy here..as we walked up to the stage..."I went to school with you!  I told Kurt...I went to school with that girl".   We had to nudge Nanc to get her to go talk to him.  It was over twenty years ago...she said "he won't know me!"

Jane's neck scarf fell down on her ankle, after she tied it around her knee.  We all decided it was the new style...then we decided to photograph all the boots...

And we're in Las Vegas...so here are the butts!  A lady about my age watching, and laughing said...Wrangler butts make me nuts...she was quoting an ad.

I don't know where this was either..but it was a cute picture. As I'm rereading this, I think it was at New York New York.

Ahh...the photo booth!

I took very few pictures at the rodeo...didn't even call Zorko...it was soo loud, I knew I wouldn't be able to hear him if he did answer.  I loved every second of both rodeos.  It was terrific being there.  Cheeneys and Eberhardts went to Blue Man Group the night we and Jane went to the second rodeo.

We rode the roller coaster...it was a blast....and this was the funniest picture.
I had really intended to post some pictures while we were there...but for two reasons, I didn't.  One, the hotel internet "didn't like apple products".  That's what they told me when I complained.  And when you are so caught up in a good time with family and Las Vegas, and the rodeo...etc, etc, etc, I wasn't interested in doing anything with a computer.  We drove all the way home yesterday.  We left the hotel just as the Eberhardts and Jane were leaving for the airport.  It was a long ride...we were all stiff and sore and glad to be home.  Brent drove the whole way...and we were so comfortable with him doing it.  He also encouraged me to do so much that I might not have.  I had a great time...and most of all loved being with my three girls for that time.  The NFR has been on my bucket list for a very long time.

A sky of a different color!

I liked this...so I grabbed a pic.
We're headed to the NFR tomorrow...My kids will all be there and two of the three son in laws.  Yee haaaaa!  If my ipad will post pix, I'll post some.  Otherwise, I'll post pictures when I get home.  It's been a really long time since I've posted any from it...and I'm not sure it's configured right.

It was fun hosting with Carolyn in her spacious, cheery home.  We all had a good time, and there were some really neat contributions.  Good job done by all.  Note: somehow I didn't get Liz Wardell in a picture.  And of course, myself.  Sandy came as a guest of Charm's.

The day after Thanksgiving.

Betty ready to head out on a Search and Rescue mission.

A lot of the Johona Field has been reclaimed.

The mountains were gorgeous this morning.  And the air was smooth.  We flew south and then up the Big Sandy.  I think the right hand peak is Temple Peak.  They look different from different angles.
