No apologies..just the way it is!

I snagged this off of Hank's blog...I have seen it before, but agree it ought to be blogged!
We have guests for several days...and I have Artist Guild today. Bob has Jerry and Judith up at John Fankek's feeding elk..I sooooo want to be there. But I'm a hostess today. It will be fun.
We did dinner at White Pine combining three birthdays...David's, Donna's and mine. It was a great meal, and a fun time. Our guests were included, and I think they really enjoyed it too.
Lynn, if you get a chance to get on here...I'm soooo glad you got the chance to fly to LV. Enjoy your family and Bonnie and all! How neat!

One of my favorite pictures...

This was quite a few years ago...and Tana was in Jane's yard. She adored this ugly 3-d turkey target. I was dying laughing as I was taking this picture.

A page out of Hank's blog...

Nothing much is going on so I thought I'd post a couple of pictures I came across. I'm still having trouble posting pictures and have to do it through picasa, and I can only do one at a time that way. I don't know what has changed on here. This was Hank's mom's 100th b.d. party.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I've been trying to get a picture uploaded of my Valentine's Day Card, and can't seem to get it here. When I do, you'll see it. It's a hoot. Bob insists the Cat did it, and he's stickin' to his story!

Art day!

Some of us painted.... Ahh yes, some of us painted...
And some of us cooked.....oh my it was good too!

I would be in the first group..sort of..I lost my source picture, to the wind, I think, so I struggled with one I'd sketched out from memory. Then I came home, and Palmer came for his art day. Today, he painted the tipi! It's now, also decorated, and it's wild. I'll post a picture of that next week! Anyhow, it was a day with lots of fun for me. Also pulled someone back on the road, who got off out by Lynn's. So my new car has "experience" in that too! Someone said, "I think you've done that before!" Yup...but she had experience in getting out too.

Lynn...Whoopee!!

This is my email from Lynn this morning. I hope she doesn't mind me blogging it. It's the best news I've heard all year. I'm going to her house to paint today..then having Palmer here for art!

My report was very good today. For the first time the tumors have improved – not exactly the very first, but before the scans always showed they were stable and not growing, with some improvement. A couple of times ago they could not see the pancreatic tumor, which doesn’t mean its not there. This was a more substantial improvement. So I get the three months off. They took the picc line out of my arm, no more Pinedale clinic flushing for the three months, except probably to check the Coumadin. I can take a real shower now!! You’re the first to know besides Charm. I didn’t get it in the blog yet, and may not tomorrow either. I was much more emotional today, just knowing the results. I was expecting it to be stable, but not improved. Judy, the head nurse, used an adjective before “improved” and darned if I can remember it. So I’m going to call tomorrow and her ask the term, since I have to ask how I should proceed with the protime tests now. Unless I have problems in the 3 mo. The protime is all I’ll be doing. We didn’t talk about that. I’m to call for an appointment in May. I’d like to be down in Vegas when Justin’s baby is born so I could see both great grandkids. And am more seriously considering the trip to Atlanta – it won’t really be the city, but we will go up into the Blue Ridge MTns. Charm drove me up again. We went to Virginia’s this morning because we got up there early. I took photos of the vases that came across from England and on the hand cart that were handed down to her. Well better get back to work, I’m mopping the wood floors with murphy’s oil soap and taking a break, then I’ll head for bed. It’s almost 10 now. We shopped at Albertson’s and I got quite a bit of groceries, so put that all away. Bought some bakery rolls. Got some blue cheese dip made, cleaned all the veggies and sliced the mushrooms for the linguini with clam sauce (changed to that from the bean casserole) and got the strawberries cleaned and sliced for shortcake. So been at it since Charm and I got back. Bonnie’s going to bring an Oreck vacuum she was storing in her basement for me to use until I get another vacuum. (she has a Dyson and loves it), and she will vacuum the carpet in the morning with it. She would have come and cleaned today but I won’t let her do much of that as long as I’m able I want to do it. I want to ask her to clean my ovens one of these days though. Love you,Lynn

It's Not a Funeral Party

Kay and George fed over 80 of us last night. It was a wonderful time. Bob missed it because he is sick. Many said to thank him for NOT coming...and Kay sent him a big plate of food. Dr. Burnett tried to get me to take enough for Sunday dinner today. Anyhow, it was a wonderful remedy for cabin fever. Thank you Kay and George. Go to Lynn's blog for much better pictures.

Golden Girls

Dr. Kappenman remarked to a mutual friend he felt like he was in a Golden Girls episode Wednesday night. I had to laugh....thinking how true that must have been.
